Simple Pool Demolition:
First and for most, an ideal candidate for a simple pool Demolition is the one who is not planning to build on top on the existing pool.
It's called a simple pool demolition because you don't have to remove it completely. However, you do have to get a permit to avoid problems in the future when you want to re-sale your home.
The Demolition process is very simple: 4 steps
1. Obtain & Coordinate City Permits
2. Electrical & Plumbing disconnection
3. Drain the Pool, if necessary
4. Demo, Fill & Compact with no less 90%

Engineer Pool Demolition:
This is ideal if you are planning to build on top of your existing pool. It is called an engineer pool because it needs to be inspected & tested by a Soil Engineer to verify the compaction. It's really not that complicated...all it is it's time consuming and of course more work.
The cost is also high because there are more City and/or County requirements to meet. It also, involves more work, since we have to completely demolish the pool & haul all the debris. Additionally, we have to work hand in hand with the inspectors in different stages of the project & get the soil tested and at the end get the soil report.
As you can see, an Engineer pool Demolition involves more elaborate work and of course coordination between the Inspector & Engineer. However, at the end you'll be satisfied to have it properly done since, if you decide to rebuild later on you will be hassle free!
